Labor Day

When I was a teen mom trying to make my way in this world for myself and my infant son, I found a union job. It was an entry level position with a county agency and it meant a future. A union job in the 1990s meant paid time off, healthcare, cost of living increases, and a step up to a better life. I worked hard, but without that union job my story would be very different. I was union then and we are a #UnionFamily now.

Together we are going to create a state that not only allows us to survive, but one in which we thrive where good paying jobs allow us to live with dignity.

Happy #LaborDay to all my fellow Nevadans.
